DBLSPACE.BIN

Not sure I like this DOS theme, which makes me sad because I absolutely love MS-DOS, especially version 6.2! For those of you who were not around for this period of “shenanigans” at Microsoft, DOS 6.2 came with a feature called DoubleSpace, which compress and decompressed files on the fly, allowing the user to store more on a traditional platter hard drive. Apparently, and I didn’t know this until just now, a user could also make use of DBLSPACE.BIN on floppy disks as well. As it later turned out, Microsoft never intended on paying the license fees to Stac Electronics, and simply intended on, “offering only the possibility for Stac Electronics to develop enhancement products”. Good business practices right, sure Bill!

Due to my hatred of web design, and the inefficiency of me being able to put this theme to good use, I am currently looking for a low-cost theme, which comes with support for when I get frustrated with trying to create a menu button, or a navigation section. If you have any thoughts or comments on MS-DOS 6.2, DoubleSpace, or my WP theme dilemma, feel free to leave a comment below. Thank you for visiting my website and I hope you have a great day!
